The Councillor for Health and Consumer Affairs Council of Lorca, Antonia Lopez, this morning the new facilities hosting the headquarters of the Department, who, having completed their own work for the move last week, today entered operating at full capacity.

Note that, according to the guidelines of austerity followed by the Consistory, all office equipment and furniture and computer resources is the same team which had in the previous location (near Plaza del Negrito) being the low housing the new headquarters of municipal property with consequent savings in the payment of rent.

The Councillor for Health has indicated that during the first half of this year has made 37 municipal disinfection treatments, insect and rat removal in as many schools and kindergartens in the municipality, a new treatment for late summer being provided.
Regarding the monitoring of sources and other facilities for the control of legionella have been carried out interventions in 79 sources, 33 colleges as well as in municipal shelters.
As such an integral task of cleaning, disinfection and analytics is performed.
Antonia Lopez, performing a balance of the months of this year, has reported that this department have made a total of 17 records for environmental qualification of local food.
Also we have developed two series of workshops for health education in the school that have involved a total of 900 students.
Eta activities have been divided into two groups;
one on hygiene (700 students) and on drug prevention (200 pupils)
