The Governing Council has approved the construction of the sewage treatment plant of the deputation of Ramonete in Lorca, with an investment of 3.6 million euros, financed 80 percent by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union.
The remaining 20 percent equity corresponds to the Community, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Water.
This new treatment plant will serve the towns of Ramonete, The Priests, The Lebrilleras and Calnegre tips, which currently do not have proper facilities for treating wastewater.
Reversing the sewage runs in 2014 and 2015 annuities.
This work is included in the Comprehensive Plan for cleansing and purifying of Lorca, which covers the North, Orchard area and city of Lorca, and South Coast area.
The regional government continues to promote the works included in this plan, which has already invested over 47 million euros in actions already implemented, about seven million in construction in progress, plus another 25 million in actions are already in the bidding phase.
This Comprehensive Plan vertebrará all villages scattered in Lorca, for the use and recovery of all the municipal wastewater.
