The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has this morning signed an agreement for the management of the "Sports Center Beach Volleyball" with the Secretary General of the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation (RFEVB), Agustin Martin.
The mayor explained that this agreement is to regulate relations between City Hall and RFEV for the temporary assignment (for a period of 25 years) to RFEVB of various facilities that make up the Sports Center Beach Volleyball.
Thus RFEV assume the management and operation of the center.
Francisco Jodar saying the Sports Center Beach Volleyball is called to be a sports complex national and international reference for the development and practice of Beach Volleyball and Volleyball, as well as serving for the use and recreation of Lorca, thus contributing to projection tourism and economic development of this city.
We're talking about an infrastructure that is the best center of Beach Volleyball in Europe, and the second best in the world, so it will be referred to the sport and place of concentration and preparation of a large number of selections of various countries.
The agreement commits the RFEVB to make their best efforts in the organization and operation of facilities, ensuring the smooth running, sport, training development and the promotion of competition, and to organize activities at the Center and national and international competitions and to make it all kinds of activities that enable the development of Volleyball and Volleyball local, regional, national and international beach.
They will focus on expanding technology, high performance and training of athletes.
For this, the RFEVB shall provide necessary technical managers.
You also agree to use the Centre as the venue for their programs of modernization and high performance sport, so to host training, concentration of athletes, modernization and creation of national teams of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.
The RFEVB is also responsible for providing the necessary equipment for facilities management.
