Investing in furniture Lorca centers for the start of the course reaches 180,000 euros
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities is completing the construction of a new library for the College of Education and Primary Villaespesa-Tertia of Lorca in the program of improvement and refurbishment of public centers run in partnership with municipalities.
The secretary general of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities, Manuel Sánchez Marcos, along with the general director of Educational Institutions, María Dolores Valcárcel, and the Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, today visited this work well provide a new space for reading and other activities that facilitate the academic success of students, is to transform the current into a classroom and audiovisual spaces to better serve families of students.
Also, two of the 35 works of improvement and remodeling that takes the Ministry of Education this summer, with a budget of 660,000 euros, representing an increase of 20 percent over the summer period last year, others are those of the public schools and Sacred Heart Juan González de Lorca.
In both schools the works consist of providing a new classroom to meet the demands and needs of educational communities of these centers.
The aim is to further improve the infrastructure for teachers to carry out their work under conditions suitable to promote student learning, in the development of the 'Quality + Education + School Success' strategy.
Furthermore, these works complement the regional government's commitment to the recovery and revitalization of Lorca.
180,000 euros in equipment
Furthermore, the Ministry of Education takes this summer an investment of 180,000 euros in equipment for public schools in the City of the Sun.
This investment is the purchase of new desks, chairs, bookshelves and other items of furniture needed and requested by schools and colleges in Lorca, especially the new facilities of Secondary School Ramón Arcas Mecca.
