The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities has joined six other centers to the network of bilingual schools in Lorca, representing an increase of 60 percent compared to bilingual offering that was the last year in the town.

"

The CEIP Pérez de Hita is one of six entering the bilingual model this year, in addition to the CEIP Juan Navarro García, Sacred Heart of Jesus and Virgen de las Huertas Villaespesa Tertia and concluded downtown San Francisco de Asis.

The School Board of Lorca is one of three that have benefited from the freedom of choice of the school calendar, one of the innovations introduced by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities for the 2014-2015 course, aimed at developing reality school to the needs of each school community.
