Many of the defendants have acquired and used stolen mobile with knowledge of its illicit origin.
Local agents belonging to the Brigade of the Judicial Police Commissariat of National Police of Lorca, since early this year, have increased efforts in investigations of crimes against property that had as main objective the removal of mobile terminals generation known as smartphones.
Different investigations permitted the arrest or charge for offenses against the assets of 67 people, many of which were for the acquisition and use of mobile stolen, purchased out of commercial channels and without minimum legal guarantees.
Several complaints were also detected, which falsely showed the complainants as victims of crimes, with the intention of reaching a new terminal defrauding the insurer of the telephone operator.
In this case, eight people were arrested for offenses simulations.
The operation was conducted by officers from the Local Judicial Police Commissariat of National Police of Lorca.
