The jury agreed on the high professionalism of the participants and the quality of the work performed
This morning was held the award ceremony of the IV-Artelor Pottery Competition, organized by the Association of Artisans of Lorca and held in FERAMUR.
The first prize of 500 euros and diploma has been for the potter totanero Lidón Isidro.
According to the president of the jury, the potter historical Almeria Francisco Robles, "for the high quality of the produced parts and the skill with winch and clay."
The jury found that, in general, "all contest participants have demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the trade and a master when it comes to work with clay."
The second prize of 250 euros and diploma, has been responsible for the potter also Totana, Lazaro Lopez.
The competition consisted of two tests, one technical and one imitation, where potters have demonstrated their skills and abilities in clay modeling.
As in previous years the competition has caught the attention of the curious public gathered around each of the artisans who competed to directly observe the development of various types of pottery and clay articles with winch.
In fact, once calibrated, measured and rated by judges, these pieces were given to the public.
