The parliamentary group today gave a new impetus to economic recovery and revitalization of Lorca, following damage by earthquakes in 2011, with approval, backed by opposition groups, the Bill 23 amending regulations on the rate controlling budget and control aids and earthquakes extraordinary fiscal measures to the municipality.
The 'popular' Deputy Patricio Gomez stressed, among the actions established by law, the grant of a loan of 12 million euros, signed by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia with the Official Credit Institute (ICO) for the execution of actions by the City of Lorca on municipal infrastructure to support trade and entrepreneurship, "necessary to promote economic recovery and social activity of the municipality."
Gomez has also highlighted the extension until the end of 2016 of tax benefits provided for Lorca.
"By passing this bill, the People's Party continues to show his support for the city of Lorca and its citizens," he noted.
In his opinion, "the continued support of both the regional government and the People's Party, as representatives of the solidarity of all Murcia to Lorca, is making it possible not only to regain their homes, infrastructure, culture, trade, their services and, ultimately, the entire operation and appearance, but, together, we get better than it was before the tragedy of May 11, 2011 Lorca, "he concluded.
