The Ministry of Development, Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Highways, has completed the execution of different repairs projected 112 kilometers of roads affected by the damage from the earthquakes of 2011, which meant an investment of 7.2 million euros.
The works have included the replacement of the firm on damaged roads, cleaning margins and gutters, and renewal of signaling.
It has also undertaken the installation of slope protection, scarification firm and its reconstruction with artificial gravel contribution as well as the execution of triple surface treatments.
The Minister Manuel Campos said the regional government makes a "great effort" to promote the transformation of the city of Lorca and its environment, both in terms of mobility and urban renewal.
These actions, said the counselor, "intended to facilitate travel and promote economic activity in the city in search of that ultimate goal: to achieve full recovery of Lorca and its environment".
So far concluded repairing RM-C22 road, which runs through the hamlet of the Baths of Fuensanta and Los Vélez;
RM-D7, between Lorca Los Alporchones;
RM-D9, linking Campico Lopez and RM-332;
RM-D10, between Lorca and The Beacon;
RM-701, which connects the town of Lorca Parish;
RM-C14, road between Lorca Zarcilla his district;
RM-D12, ranging from Lorca to the Alcanara and RM-D11, which flows along the path of Puerto Viejo.
They have also been subject to repair the RM D-16, which establishes connection between Puerto Lumbreras and Station;
RM-D26, which connects the station with the RM-620;
RM-C9, between Lorca and Zarzadilla;
the Lorca-Eagles RM-11 motorway, which connects Lorca and Eagles, the RM-711 highway, which connects Cruise Paca;
and RM-D4, which connects the city of Lorca in the village of Morata.
Next steps
They are currently under implementation works of regional roads RM-621, which establishes the connection with Puri Lorca;
RM-504, which connects the districts of La Paca and Doña Inés;
RM-D3, which connects La Hoya with the town of Lorca, and RM-D19, which serves Puerto Lumbreras and Station.
On the other hand, are in the process of drafting the works corresponding to the RM-D17 highway that connects Puerto Lumbreras with Almendricos, RM-D1, which connects La Hoya with The Hinojar;
RM-620, between Puri and Pulpí, RM-D13, corresponding to the road Mayorales;
RM-D24, which flows through the vial Pozo La Higuera to Los Arejos;
and RM-D8, between Lorca coast.
