The urban regeneration projects of the Department of Development pose a quality, attractive commercial plots in the neighborhoods to revitalize consumption
The Ministry of Development, Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Architecture, Housing and Land, promotes the revitalization of the business of Lorca as an element to boost urban renewal actions carried out in neighborhoods of the city.
This approach is present in urban regeneration projects of La Viña, Alfonso X, San Jose and San Diego, where the consolidation and expansion of the commercial offer quality criteria is promoted through various commercial paths along neighborhoods.
The axes around which these spaces are developed favor the emergence of connecting elements between different urban fabrics, promoting the improvement of existing infrastructure to link the shopping areas and thus boost the urban activity.
The basis of the project involves the release of public space, expanded pedestrian connections to continue the urban fabric, the mobility of pedestrians and traffic, the provision of park and ride, including commercial infrastructure, transportation access public and integration of quality criteria design and management in business.
The general director of Architecture, Housing and Land, Yolanda Muñoz, stressed that the recovery in economic activity "is a priority to boost growth of Lorca, and is structured through its revitalization and consequent job creation, improving the competitiveness and modernization of the trade. "
In the district of Alfonso X, with a largely residential urban fabric, this activity will be integrated into the social life through the road of Granada, which will become a real commercial hub from the roundabout Pérez Casas to the district of San Antonio .
In San Jose, the existing infrastructure at Bartolomé Pérez Casas, main commercial hub of the neighborhood, as well as other spaces, one consisting of the first two sections of the High Rambla and one in the existing pedestrian street between the Garden of San be enhanced Joseph and the adjacent buildings.
