The Secretary General of Finance of the Autonomous Community Lorca Fernando López Miras, proclaiming the silver jubilee of this contest on Tuesday 9 to 21 hours in Lorca Coliseum, in a free event where the winner will enjoy Golden Sun 2013, Maria Soledad Abad.
The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, president of the Cultural Peña Flamenca Sun City, Pedro Ángel Rodríguez, presented the 25th edition of the Festival de Cante Flamenco Sun City, to be held on Friday 12 and Saturday December 13 at the Teatro Guerra.
Martinez stressed that "as progress in the competition, the Secretary General of Finance of the Autonomous Community Lorca Fernando López Miras, proclaiming the silver anniversary of this festival next Tuesday 9 to 21 hours in Lorca Colosseum in a free event where you can enjoy the winner of the Golden Sun 2013, Maria Soledad Abad ".
The mayor explained that "those interested in participating in this festival can register in advance either by telephone or Internet, but the opportunity will also leave singers to sign up for the contest between eight and ten o'clock, because from that hour will begin the screening of the eight singers who will participate tonight in the semifinals, to be chosen among the four who will act the next day in the final. "
Meanwhile, Rodriguez explained that "the four finalists will award, giving 3,000 euros, Sol de Oro trophy and a certificate to the winner; 2,000 euros, Sol de Plata trophy and a certificate to the runner; 1,000 euros, Sol Bronze trophy and diploma to third place; and 500 euros diploma who gets the consolation prize ".
The entry for the semifinal will cost 10 euros, like the final.
The councilman and chairman of the Rock 'Sun City' have also presented the poster of this edition, made by artist María García Lorca, an oil on board 120x80, called "Temple" because according to the author "represents the time the master guitarist begins his touch, the singer hears, concentrated, tone and starts singing, born flamenco ".
In this sense Garcia explained that "when I was asked to do something whose theme was the flamenco expression of pain and joy of the soul when the guitar is heard and emerges singing, as it says, a slogan Peña Flamenca Town Sun, I did not hesitate.
