The Ministry of Development, Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Highways, will allocate a total of 21.7 million euros to the refurbishment of roads in Lorca next year.
One of the works that will begin next year is the conditioning of the layout of the RM-D17, which runs from Puerto Lumbreras to the hamlet Lorca Almendricos, and will have a budget of 2.4 million euros.
It is also planned to continue with the repair and improvement of the D-19, which connects Puerto Lumbreras with the RM-620, a new section, amounting to 2.1 million euros.
Also, technicians are already drafting the corresponding action to be taken in four other road projects.
The first work is projected on the RM-D1, La Hoya-El Hinojar, with a bridge over the river Guadalentín, which will involve the investment of 1.2 million euros;
the second in the RM-620, on the stretch of La Galera and The Jopos, which will have a budget of 2.4 million;
the third in the RM-D13 highway Los Mayorales, worth one million euros, and finally, the RM-D24, Pozo La Higuera with The Arejos, and with an investment of 500,000 euros.
As for the RM-D8, two priority actions, which are the implementation of improvements in the roadbed kilometer from 8 to 12, amounting to one million euros, and the bridge over the Rambla Biznaga are expected which exceeds 1.2 million euros.
Notable performances will begin next year vial containing the evacuation of Barrios Altos, which will be a major benefit to the neighbors, taking into account the difficulties currently experienced by the narrowness of the streets.
