The Ministry of Development, Public Works and Planning incorporates the actions envisaged in the neighborhoods of the Virgen de las Huertas-Santa Quiteria and Cristo Rey in Lorca, urban renewal in the city, amounting to 6.8 million euros.
To this end, the Minister Francisco Bernabé signed today with the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, the addendum to the collaboration agreement signed last October 31 in order to include these works.
These two performances of urban renewal in addition to the seven other planned interventions in the street Eulogio Periago, Santa Clara Avenue, Avenue Europe and adjacent spaces, street Abellaneda and the San Cristóbal, the Alameda de Cervantes, the avenue Juan Carlos I and adjacent spaces and urbanization in the neighborhood of Los Angeles and Apolonia neighborhood.
In total, an investment of 38,613,791 euros is performed.
Bernabe said the aim of these actions is "infrastructure renewal of public roads, including the paving of roads and sidewalks, new street lighting and provision of parks and gardens".
He also said that "it will clean up all distribution networks of water, electricity and gas, sewer and storm drains and telephony, with the benefits that all this will mean for users of these services ".
Complete renovation of Lorca
The Minister stressed that "this is complete the renewal of Lorca allowing one hand, bring public spaces to the city to fulfill its tasks more effectively and, second, to better match the needs of citizens to reality today Lorca ".
As indicated, "thus we return to ratify, works and budgets, our firm commitment to recovery Lorca and extensive remodeling of neighborhoods, that will mean for the neighbors a substantial improvement in their living conditions."
With all these works, said Barnabas, "is designed a completely new and improved Lorca, a consequence of maximum effort and commitment of the Government of Alberto Garre for reconstruction and renovation of the city".
