The funds raised will be allocated in full to contribute to the development of its activities this entity in our town.
The Councillors oenegés and Social Services City of Lorca, Antonia Lopez and Maria del Carmen Ruiz, participated this morning in the traditional charity sale of poinsettias performs Lorca Alzheimer Association, together with its President Teresa Camacho.
This event is held in order to raise funds to continue the development of the activities being carried to term by this entity in our town.
From the city council has confirmed its full support to the group, stressing that Alzheimer's patients need a special and particular attention, something that also require their own families.
Alzheimer Lorca has excellent facilities at its headquarters, an infrastructure that was renewed by TRAGSA after the earthquake of 2011, where patients and families can go.
The center serves more than 40 users in areas such as therapeutic activities, workshops psychostimulation, support activities and home rehabilitation and individual therapy, group and workshops.
Because of its good performance, more and more applications and therefore the expansion work spaces are continuous.
Our city, which was declared Solidarity City with Alzheimer last September, is hosting this event which is being developed consecutively for the past 14 years, and the same has been achieved sales of 500 of these typical Christmas flowers subsidized price of 5 euros.
Note that this entity is atiendeal group of patients with Alzheimer's and related dementias.
Its aims are:
Providing psychological and moral assistance to the families of those affected by Alzheimer's disease.
Advise families of Alzheimer's patients in legal, sociological and economic matters.
Provide and disseminate in the media everything that refers to the possible diagnosis of this disease and its therapy, in order to provide appropriate assistance.
Facilitate, improve and control the care of the sick to their quality of life is maximized.
Encourage studies on the incidence, etiology and therapeutic evolution of the disease.
Interact with organizations and associations dedicated to the study of disease, in order to meet the scientific advances that occur in this area and thus to inform relatives of the sick and spread.
