The City promotes the Inertia program with the launch of a training course with woodcocks for their employment practices (18/12/2014)

33 people have benefited from this project this year, which has seen the realization of 3 lines of work aimed at teenagers, job training and acquisition of social skills.

THE Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Councillor for Social Services, Maria del Carmen Ruiz, have delivered this morning the diploma to the 33 beneficiaries who participated this year in the Inertia Program.

The mayor pointed out that the many training programs developed by the City of Lorca, the inertia is one of the most important for their usefulness and the results.

The fight against social exclusion: Through this program useful training for people with mental illness or who have overcome drug addiction with a clear objective is offered.

You have to believe in second chances.

Everyone is entitled to a second chance and what we do through this program is to offer it to people who sincerely want to integrate.

We provide the best mechanisms to contribute to the socio-employment through training in skills that allow the relationship to the environment, which affects irretrievably into a proper integration.

But we also work to promote the acquisition of skills that enable students to develop.

During this course we have gone a step further by promoting a course of action that incorporated labor practices in different institutions.

So, 9 persons in situations of unemployment and very low income have participated in the Inertia Integra, allowing them to receive a financial grant while collaborating with oenegés occupationally and social entities such as the Early Childhood Center, El Buen Camino , Residence San Diego, Poncemar Day Centre and Municipal Lawn Service.

With 6 months of internship students have been formed in occupations as a janitor, gardener, receptionist or assistant cook, gaining experience for employability.

The Mayor explained that 12 youths were between 16 and 21 years which have participated in the first half;

12 plus the inertia Skills (conducted between October and December) and 9 other Inertia Integra.

Jódar Alonso has encouraged participants to continue with new training projects that allow them to move forward personally and professionally.

a program of high social returns

From the Department of Social Services of the City of Lorca, in the framework of the activities of the Local Plan on drug addiction and funding of Murcia Health Service, develops since 2012 the training program for socio-employment program called inertia.

It is aimed at people with mental illness and / or drug addicts who are mostly or at risk of social exclusion.

In 2014 it has expanded its objectives, activities and target, being 31. Han been developed three actions:

Course for 12 young people aged 16 to 21 years unemployed, with low educational and cultural level, from socially disadvantaged families in our town.

Was performed during the first half of the year.

Inertia Integra.

They have participated 9 people that had previously developed social skills course.

With this action they supplemented their training practices to the socio-employment.

During six months these students have received a monthly stipend of 250 euros for the practices developed in NGO's and local authorities as Early Childhood Center, El Buen Camino, Residence San Diego, Center Poncemar Day Foundation and Municipal Service Gardening in positions desk, receptionist, kitchen assistant or assistants gardening.

Inertia Skills.

They have 12 people between October and December, learning social skills for integration participated.

Students have received for scholarship 5 euros per day of attendance.
