The Ministry of Culture and the City of Lorca inaugurate the exhibition "Nature built ' (22/12/2014)

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities and the City of Lorca organized the exhibition "Nature built ', which can be seen until January 14 at the Exhibition Hall of the Cultural Center of Lorca.

The sample consists of works from the collection of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts signing a total of eight creators.

The general director of ICA, Marta Lopez-Briones, who presented the exhibition by the Councillor for Culture of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, explained that "Lorca is the seventh sign which opens within the project 'Routes' with which Culture is making available to municipalities artworks from the collection of ICA in order to bring contemporary art to the public in the region through quality parts ".

On this occasion, exposed "about twenty works through which the public is invited to reflect on the nature and his artificial hand. Creations of authors like Miguel Angel Campano, Codesal Javier Nunez Gasco or Fernando Sinaga, one of the most prominent Spanish artists, "added Lopez-Briones.

The tour of this exhibition begins with 'L'Ofre', an oil on the Mallorcan mountains with which Miguel Angel Campano, one of the innovators of Spanish painting, reviews the pictorial tradition of capturing nature and even the basics of art itself modern.

Codesal photographs belonging to the 'Monte lost' series, talk about memory and absence, while Eduardo Nave and Juan Millás are some of the images made during an intense four-year journey back roads and They gathered in the 'Peninsula' project.

Núñez Gasco also speaks of the end of the idea of ​​nature through its 'Still Life', Saelia Aparicio played with the idea of ​​library installation-sculpture 'Universal Encyclopedia' and Fernando Sinaga makes a reflection on the historical layers that influence our way to see nature in his piece 'The alpine throat'.

The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Saturday at the Exhibition Hall of the Cultural Center of Lorca, closes with 'The natural route', a set of ten works with the Mexican Jonathan Hernández covers topics like the model and its double the original and the copy.

The hall is open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00, and Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00 hours.
