Councilman of Health and NGOs of the City of Lorca, Antonia Lopez, and the President of the Diabetic Association of Lorca and its region, ADILOR, Juan Francisco Perán, presented the Psychological Workshops for Parents of Children and Adolescents with Diabetes who organized this group with the municipal collaboration on Saturday from 9 am to 19:30 pm at the Hotel Jardines de Lorca.
Lopez has encouraged "Lorca and Lorca to attend this meeting, which have already confirmed their attendance about 150 people and in which participate as speakers group psychotherapist, psychologist-educator in the association of Navarra and editor of Tales Borja, Iñaki Lorente, and college expert Diabetes Education and member of the Spanish education Diabetes Society, Javier Hurtado ".
On one hand the impact of diabetes in the family and what they would ask parents to treat their children, while on the other hand will try everyday of young people with diabetes.
Over 150 people attend this event morning and evening to be held at the Hotel Jardines de Lorca concluded by a pooling and indications exposure to negotiate and reach agreements.
The morning activity all parents will go, regardless of their age children.
Afternoon activities will be different, depending on the age of the children.
For over 12 workshops will be organized to encourage and empower the management of their diabetes, taught by qualified staff, while in the morning there will be a daycare, mats and balloon modeling, animation and other activities.
The objectives of this conference are to establish a space for dialogue between parents to share experiences and strategies as well as another space for dialogue between teenagers to share, meet other kids with their own concerns and develop strategies to improve your life diabetes.
At the same time it aims to create a space for dialogue between parents with their children to address everyday issues regarding diabetes and agree to help family living with diabetes.
The mayor of Health has stated that the city of Lorca has an agreement with ADILOR by giving them a grant to assist in carrying out its activities and at the same time, has given them a space in the house where NGOs have based, in order that they can meet all concerned.
