Lorca continues to make progress in modernizing its services to citizens by leveraging new technologies and public-private partnerships, integrating the system into the portal Opendata transparency and municipal participation, the first in the region.
Councilman Information Society of the City of Lorca, Francisco Garcia, has reported that "once again the Consistory Lorca leading the modernization of IT services, making it the first of Spain that takes a step forward in the modernization of its corporate systems with the start of production of the new geoPadrón ".
Garcia explained that "the great novelty of this new system, the result of public-private partnership, is full integration with the municipal street georeferenced and use of the most advanced geographic technologies. This will allow us to better manage the available information especially in emergencies, and facilitate the daily work and interaction with other administrations ".
The geographical component allows a more precise entities Padrón, preventing and detecting duplication in management addresses.
A more secure and efficient internal management of the area, as well as the offices of citizen services system.
The territory brings intelligence and minimizes errors in municipal management.
Facilitates the management of all entities Registry (inhabitants, dwellings, addresses, numbers of police, roads, etc.) and its relationship with other municipal areas.
The new Padrón allows geographical farms and statistics per vial, population entity, building, by geographic area and includes a suite of analysis tools and advanced data mining to facilitate operation in real time or a certain date.
The new geoPadrón also allows the integration of information from other agencies through interoperable standard services (cadastral information Virtual Land Office, the regional cartographic services IDE, map services Ministries, etc.).
The system is also integrated within the City Lorca OpenData facilitating participation and transparency of government to its citizens.
Lorca City Council operates a Registration Office in which more than 92,000 people, of which nearly 60,000 live in the urban case and the rest in various districts of the municipality are included.
