The presidential advisor and Employment, José Gabriel Ruiz, and the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, today inaugurated the remodeling of Sports Complex King Philip VI, the Autonomous Community has funded more than one million euros for the overall improvement of the installation, allowing the expansion of its services and its energy and economic efficiency.
"In addition to rebuilding the city and the economic recovery, the regional government pledged to recover all public facilities in order to regain the pre-earthquake situation and, as far as possible, improve the quality of life of citizens of the town of Lorca. These new instlaciones are an example of this commitment to the region ", said José Gabriel Ruiz.
Public officials visited the facilities, which include a fitness room of 700 square meters, a living functional high intensity training, games room, library, cafe restaurant 400 square meters, two squash courts, swimming glasses, sauna and training rooms, martial arts, directed activities and indoor cycling.
The works in the complex have improved accessibility, eliminating architectural barriers and improving access controls by both internal and external lathes.
It also emphasizes the renovation of the common areas, especially the changing rooms and showers, which are completely new rooms.
The basement area has been completely remodeled to provide better services to users and new sports activities and programs related to new trends in 'fitness': functional high intensity training, suspension training, indoor cycling, toning directed' core training ', highlighting the weight room with three distinct areas: cardio, free weights and machines
