The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, this morning visited the equine program launched by the People's University of Lorca for 80 users of the Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities (Apandis) of Lorca.
Martinez explained that "this new project, with which activities are conducted twice a week, is part of the programming of the People's University of Lorca and benefits people with varying degrees of disability between 18 and 65 years."
The mayor expressed his satisfaction "for the success of this initiative, which is part of the social action of this Department that provides free collective activities with higher requirements as are these people with different disabilities."
From Apandis, Marita Arcas, have thanked municipal involvement with this group and have expressed the physical and mental benefits involved for these people contact with the horses.
