The Councillor for Health of the City of Lorca, Antonia Lopez, along with the president of the Association of Patients Lorquina Parkinson (ASLEP), María Ros Garcia, presented this morning the conference concerning the World Day Against Parkinson, taking place between 8 and April 22.
The mayor stressed that "since Parkinson associations began to be created, whose main objective is to improve the quality of life of people with the disease and their families, in addition to sensitize the general public about the disease and its environment, it is getting today is spoken almost normally and without prejudice, what is Parkinson, because for a long time has passed very quietly. "
Among the activities that will be developed during these three weeks to commemorate the International Day of Parkinson will be held on April 8 morning with a playful games.
In the afternoon we will, at the headquarters of the Association, a talk "Food and Parkinson" which will be borne by Jorge Marin Sevilla, graduated in Nursing and Nutrition.
On April 10 there will be a charity night of Spanish dance and flamenco at the Teatro Guerra.
The next day, April 11, WORLD DAY OF PARKINSON, there will be an information stand on Parkinson and carry out an activity for World Parkinson's Day in the Plaza de Calderón.
The following week, on Monday 13 will be an activity of coexistence in Residence Caser, with a game of volleyball, where teams compete: Caser-Aslep.
In the afternoon, a panel discussion entitled "New Techniques in the Treatment of Parkinson Patient" by Juan José Gomáriz, family doctor in the center-south Lorca is performed.
The day14 workshop Laughter Therapy Music Therapy and Noelia González will be developed by Calatayud to be held at the headquarters of the Association.
The next day, at the Virgen de las Huertas park, will be another workshop Physiotherapy Outdoor.

In the last week of activities, including closing ceremony will be held on 20 convivial visit to Poncemar Day Centre, where there will be several workshops and Cognitive Stimulation Therapy.
The next day, will be the third roundtable on Parkinson's Disease, by José Ramón Salvador Pozo, Medical Emergency Department of Rafael Méndez Hospital.
On April 22, Wednesday, proceed to the closing of the Conference with a snack at the headquarters of the Association, River Street Guadalentin.
Finally, Moya Lopez recalled that "with the extraordinary activities that are performed every year around the 11th of April, aims to continue to give more visibility to Parkinson's disease, to publicize the work being done from the Associations; and involve society in general, and indirectly increase the number of members, volunteers and collaborators.
