The events took place on Sunday at the employer Santuario Virgen de las Huertas and in the hamlet of Almendricos
During the weekend the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has made ceremony throne flag and the Brotherhood of the Virgen de las Huertas, and the banner in honor of the Virgin of Sorrows, patron saint of Almendricos.
These three assets have been developed by students from various programs launched by the Department of Employment.
Jodar, along with the president of the Brotherhood, Isabel Giménez, and the Father Guardian of the Convent, José Hernández Valenzuela, explained that "the flag has been made in silk and gold for Embroidery Workshop of the Athena Workshop School of the Department of employment. Similarly, the small golden throne has been through the workshop and Policromía Dorado ".
Note that this last workshop is integrated into the Shape-T program pertaining to the Urban Initiative Project for the Barrios Altos launched by the Department of Employment and Local Development, and co-financed by ERDF.
The mayor stated that "the City Council is a pleasure to contribute to improving the procession of the patron saint of Lorca, the Virgen de las Huertas, through these artistic elements that adorn her image and are essential tools to transmit the faith and the devotion of the people for Honorary Mayor ".
In the second act, Francisco Jodar, along with Employment Councilwoman City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, handed the banner of the Virgin of Sorrows at village headman of Almendricos, Antonio Diaz, the parish priest and parishioners.
In this case Jódar Alonso explained that "the flag, embroidered in gold with the anagram of Mary, has been prepared by Embroidery Workshop integrated in the Form-T program pertaining to the Urban Initiative Project for Barrios Altos launches Department of Employment ".
The mayor stressed that "it is an honor that our employment workshops can perform works for our lorquinas districts, in addition to providing artistic value to these populations to also process the devotion to their patron saint."
