The Heritage Association XXI Century, chaired by Professor of the University of Murcia Germán Ramallo, has organized a tribute to the Central Union of Irrigation Aqueduct Tajo-Segura (SCATS) for his contribution to the restoration of the monastery of the Poor Clares of Lorca , which was damaged by earthquakes in 2011.
The tribute, which includes the presentation of a book, will take place during a dinner that will be offered on May 29.
Ramallo said today that this act "is about recognizing his magnificent action to collect the" solidarity penny "per cubic meter of water in the risks incurred from May to December 2011 in order to cope with the complete rehabilitation of the monastery" .
The professor pointed out that every year, fifteen ago, the association president is giving a prize to the person or institution that has distinguished for its contribution to the heritage of the Region of Murcia.
The first organizations were Prodefensa be distinguished heritage associations during the civil war, and between the recognized set after Ramón Gaya, Antonio Campillo, Pedro Cano and Nicolas Almansa.
It has also recognized the work carried out by archaeologist and engineer Emeterio Cuadrado, Cajamurcia Foundation and the Museum of Ethnic Music Barranda (Caravaca de la Cruz).
The tribute was taxed at SCRATS highlight their participation in the restoration of the monastery, "which has made a flawless rehabilitation, including getting improvements for the proper functioning of the community and for the splendor of worship," said Ramallo.
