The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, has delivered this morning, together with the Director of Secondary Ros Giner, Francisco Gonzalez, III prizes Bartolomé García Photography Competition.
This event is a tribute to Bartolo Garcia, who was a professor of this center and recognized amateur photographer and died during the floods of 2012. Through it is intended to remind her figure, her great passion and photographic creation between students is encouraged .
Francisco Jodar explained that in the event both students and teachers participating Ros Giner, with the same theme of the "People and Monuments of Lorca," so that all works in competition have been carried out in the municipality.
From City of Lorca actively we collaborate with this event and we believe the benefits of such an initiative.
The mayor has indicated that foster creativity, especially among young people, is a must.
Creativity nested inside each, but must be given the opportunity to work it, show it and share it.
Thanks to initiatives and we get to promote artistic creation through an art as photography.
Jodar wanted to congratulate the winners of the competition in their ranks, Giuliana Lucia Párramo Camacho Secondary Prize;
Monteverde Jorge Hernandez winning in absolute category and Valeria Baccalaureate Award winner Khurtova, but also to all people participated making the contest a success and turning it into a cultural initiative that will allow you to enjoy more and photography.
Lorca Mayor stressed that this competition is, above all, a tribute to Bartolo Garcia Martinez, a man loved and remembered by all.
Bartolo was a great teacher;
also a lover of traditions, folklore, nature and Easter photographer.
But Bartolo was above all a great person you can never forget, an example of altruism, commitment and dedication.
In short, a man who deserves the homage that we carry out through this competition.
