The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, this morning attended the start of construction of two buildings, "the Vas" and "Guadalentín" which had to be demolished after the earthquake of 2011. This is two buildings whose term to rebuild two years.
As in other reconstructions, new buildings that will emerge will have several improvements over those that were demolished due to the damage that the earthquake had caused in their structure.
Francisco Jodar has reported that the implementation of the work to recover the buildings' Del Vas "and" Guadalentín ", the total number of homes that are being re-raise in our city after the earthquake of 2011 has now reached 855, In addition to about 500 who have already completed the process of rebuilding, both buildings and houses.
The mayor has emphasized that "it is the effort of all Lorca, exemplified here by the residents of these buildings, which our city is getting back up after the very serious tragedy which represented the earthquakes in 2011. Francisco Jodar explained that the new "Del Vas" building in the alley of the Friars numbers 20, 22 and 24, will have a total floor area of ​​2,680 m2.
