Lopez also recalled that "it continues to offer throughout the year the possibility of taking this course via internet at any day and time for the specialty restaurants and prepared foods."
Specifically, today's classroom course butchers and meat products, 22 and 23 the retail and horticultural products will be held, while 29 and 30 June and 1 July contract catering.
In addition, after the summer, the 17 and 18 November classroom course specialty bakery, confectionery, pastries and cakes are offered.
Antonia Lopez explained that so far this year have received this course Lorca 153, of which 55 chose the online route and 98 per classroom, with 43 students in two courses hotofrutícolas modalities and retail products and 55 five courses catering, two of them in collaboration of the "rebirth" of social integration of young women.
The mayor stated that "the course via the Internet, launched in collaboration with the Department of Information Society, comprises three parts: reading the agenda, the consultation document the course library and a questionnaire 30 questions with three possible answers to choose one, which will be sent by tutors once read the other two parts. The issues that are disclosed to students are: legislation, nutrition, food contamination, preservation methods thereof, foodborne diseases as poisoning and bacterial infections, viral diseases and other foodborne caused by fungi or parasites as well as preventive measures to be taken along with good health and hygiene practices.
The course tutors, who are the municipal veterinarians, attend to any questions from students via email or phone.
Enrollment in these courses is done by paying the fee in the register of the City or Municipal Service Offices of districts and then formalizing enrollment with a photocopy of the DNI or NIE and the request pursuant to the Department of Health.
The online course is in addition to the 18 free training courses on new technologies that the Department of Information Society of the City offers in the portal www.formacion.lorca.es, taking another step in the use of technological tools provide training to Lorca, for example, they are working or living in the districts.
