Rouco blesses the St. James Church of Lorca Friday]
The next Friday, July 3, at 20:00, there will be the celebration of the Mass of thanksgiving for the reopening of the parish church of St. James of Lorca, one of the temples he suffered further damage during earthquakes of May 11, 2011.
The works have been financed by the Spanish Episcopal Conference, as well as the different contributions from all the dioceses of Spain, and a final amount subsidized by the Murcia region through the European Investment Bank, as contained in the Plan Director for the recovery of Lorca Heritage.
Preside at Cardinal Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Madrid, Mons. Antonio Maria Rouco Varela, as the reconstruction of Santiago were paid thanks to the economic contribution of Spanish Episcopal Conference, during his presidency.
Concelebrate the Bishop of Cartagena, Mons. José Manuel Lorca Planes, by the pastor of St. James, the Vicar of Lorca and numerous priests.
