The last meeting of the Bureau agrees to extend the Comprehensive Social Services for a period of three months.
Mesa funds have allowed the realization of more than 4,300 performances that have benefited more than 2,400 families Lorca.

The Councillor for Social Services office of the City of Lorca, Maria del Carmen Ruiz, has reported that the Bureau has distributed to date a total of 5,779,961.90 euros with families affected by the earthquakes of 2011. Ruiz Jodar stressed that the continued work being developed by this entity results in the realization of around 4,300 assists over 2,400 families Lorca, a fact that confirms the good performance being made from the Bureau.
Maria del Carmen Ruiz explained that at the last meeting of the Bureau, which took place on June 12 at the Board of Councils of the City of Lorca, it was reported that refunds repayable advances for access to a rental and amounted to the total amount of 968,870.26 euros.
He realized also in the economic situation of the company, and approved to continue the Comprehensive Social Services Project, extending it for a period of 3 months.
The main needs addressed from the project were as follows:
- Financial contributions to the payment of rental housing.
- Financial assistance to cover basic needs.
- Specific aid for the payment of basic services supply.
- Financial contributions to the timely payment of books.
- Financial contributions for specific replacement of household.
- Financial assistance to support housing repairs.
- Financial aid for prostheses.
The Councillor for Social Services has indicated that it is a pioneering project aimed at care for families affected by the earthquakes in 2011 in Lorca, coordinated by municipal social services and emerged before the existence of problematic situations that have not been able to meet with aid covered in the generated frame.

The mayor of Social Services emphasized that the economic assistance that have been sent to the families Lorca already exceed 5.7 million euros.
We are talking about 5.7 million reasons to thank each and every one of the people, associations and groups of various sorts collaboration they have had with our city after the tragedy we suffered that fateful May 11.
Thanks to the work carried through from this Table, formed at the request of the Mayor, we have achieved that families most affected by earthquakes count on economic assistance to normalize their situation.
The contribution of this organization to the recovery of Lorca has been fundamental.

Except for very specific exceptions and it is better to forget, the components of the Bureau have shown that we can work together and that when Lorca's interests take precedence over partisan or other postulates, the result is very beneficial for society.
We believe, moreover, that full transparency with which it has worked since day one, and we did involve citizens through the media, has earned us the confidence of the various associations, groups and governments who they have contributed, and continue to, acts and solidarity funds of the Bureau aids.
The mayor of Social Services explained that the total recorded in income accounts managed by the Bureau and channels today amounts to 5,779,961.90 euros, with a positive balance of 24793.51 euros.
The main grants that have been made so far are:
- Financial Assistance to boost trade (for the Bureau of Commerce): 500.000 €
- Financial assistance for preparation of the new headquarters of the food market: 70.000 €
- Financial assistance for the rehabilitation of housing in Uptown: € 14,260.11.

- Installation and maintenance modular homes San Fernando: € 44,637.31
- Extraordinary expenses Camp La Torrecilla: € 9,585.64
