The Mayor of the City will not have salary and the government team dispenses Square chief of staff, measures involving substantial savings to the municipal coffers.
The Plenary Hall has welcomed this morning the first meeting of the new corporation.
The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has reported that the composition of the new Municipal Corporation will mean an annual saving of 58 311 euros, a figure derived mainly from the fact that the Mayor of the City will not receive salary and amortization of Square chief of staff.
This is another example of austerity by the local administration, which for several years has been implementing austerity measures and economic efficiency, which, inter alia, have reduced the municipal debt at 42 million euros and suppress vacation 40%.
The Mayor welcomed all components of the Municipal Corporation, noting that with the new structure of the full City Council has won plurality going to have four local groups.
The first words of the mayor are councilors to wish productive work, always positive and to the benefit of citizens.

The financial allocations for council members and support staff of the local groups remain frozen.
The deputies will have to work full-time government and 2 by the Municipal Socialist Group (GMS) and the mayor of Citizens.
Regarding part-time charges, the GMS will in this situation to their spokespersons in the committees of Municipal Administration, Special Accounts, Planning, Housing and Environment, Education and Culture, Recovery Management and earthquakes and Rural Development.
The Municipal Group United Left-Greens will, in turn, part-time councilors with the spokespersons in the committees of Municipal Administration, Training and Employment and Social Policy.
The allocation to municipal groups also remains frozen
The plenary has served, among other things, to confer officially generic government councilors of the new Municipal Corporation delegations.

- Fulgencio Gil Jodar: Economics and Finance, Internal Affairs, Presidency and Municipal Cleaning Service.
- Maria Belen Perez Martinez: Safety, Traffic and Development.
- Juan Francisco Martinez Carrasco: Sports, Information Society and Procurement.
- Ramón Angel Mecca Ruzafa: Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Water and Municipal Enterprise "Aguas de Lorca".
- Agustin Llamas Gómez: Culture, Celebration and Youth.
- Maria Fátima Mínguez Silvente: Social Services, NGOs, Policy Staff and Housing.
- Maria del Carmen Ruiz Jódar: Citizen Participation, Health.
- Francisco Jose Garcia Garcia: Heritage and Empowerment of the Old Town.
- Juan Miguel Bayonas López.- The delegation on Emergency, Transportation, Commerce and Handicrafts.
- Mary Saturnino Martinez Perez: Planning, Environment, Urban Mobility Management and Recovery earthquakes.
Regular sessions of the Full Council will be held, as agreed this morning, the last Monday of each month at evening, with the start time of 17:00 in the months between November and March, while in April- October will begin at 18:00 h.
In the event that the last Monday of the month coincides with any holiday it is convened session with miso shall ordinarily to be held on the next business day.
