Antonio Mecca, spokesman for Citizen-Party of citizenship municipal group has achieved in the first plenary of this term, his proposal that the water is not cut any family for economic reasons be adopted unanimously.

We attach great importance to this unanimous agreement of the Municipal Council that responds to a social demand that caters to families in socially vulnerable especially due to the current economic crisis.

This proposal responds to our election commitment to resolve the unjust decision to deprive of drinking water to families, as this is a fundamental right of all Lorca, finally being social services which will assess individually each case solution .

The second motion, also adopted unanimously by the political groups, calls for the creation of a study commission of potable water and waste based on the following proposals:

-Evaluation of the implementation of a possible "zero quota" on garbage collection for pensioners and families whose household income does not exceed the minimum wage Iinterprofesional.

Social rate Creation and water (flat rate of 5 €) for households whose income does not exceed the overall SMI and whose consumption does not exceed 14 m3.

-Cuota Zero for water and waste businesses affected temporarily by public works affecting the income of the same.

Special -Cuota for shops (clothing stores, shoe store, offices and similar businesses) with non-organic waste.

This fee would be offset by the added value have their waste (mainly paper and cardboard) if they are recycled correctly.

That the Administration conduct a review of the ordinance regulating the fee for the provision of home garbage disposal for the category of the street (first, second, and third), creating scales adapted to modern times.

That the City of Lorca make the transfer of units "Aguas de Lorca" Local Development Center (CDL) or other municipal deependencias underused, to achieve considerable savings in alquieres.

All these proposals and others that can provide the other municipal groups will be studied by this committee to achieve maximum optimization of this service and update rates.
