The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, along with several members of the Municipal Government Team, is monitored from early morning work aimed at extinguishing the fire declared yesterday afternoon in the Sierra del Almirez lorquina council Zarcilla Ramos.

In the operating members of the Military Emergency Unit, forest brigades, 112 as well as 12 troops from the Municipal Emergency Service and 6 units of the local police, and 5 helicopters, 1 seaplane involved.

Jodar has sought to highlight "the great work being done all the equipment moved to the emergency area, as are collaborating and working tirelessly to try to extinguish the fire that way progressing well although not yet under control."
