The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, representing the Municipal Corporation of the City of Lorca, has conveyed his condolences to the family and friends of Juan Perez Gimenez, who died this morning at age 71.
Perez, a retired builder, was the village headman of La Hoya for the past 8 years and throughout his life was a person tremendously committed to his land.
It was one of the initiators of the creation of the Neighborhood Association and the Gang, besides being master of ceremonies of the celebrations of the Virgin of Health.
In his eight years as headman, Juan highlighted as an intermediary between the city and neighbors, representing the interests of La Hoya and work tirelessly for the improvement of their land.
Jodar has highlighted his great human qualities and his strong commitment to La Hoya, describing his death as an irreparable loss.
In fact Lorca Mayor he recalled that just two days ago, during the inauguration of the RM-D3 Road, spoke by telephone with Perez who, despite his illness, conveyed his joy at the completion of the works in which he participated thus actively managed numerous neighbors cede ground to expand the road and it was safer, another example of the fruitful work of the headman.
The chapel was installed in Hall 5 of the funeral Lazaro Soto until 11 pm on Saturday when he will bury his remains.
