Minguez Fatima: "The Lorca solidarity have undergone in recent years and now is the time to prove that we are too."
The Councillor for Social Services in the city of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, has reported that the Municipal, at the request of Mayor Consistory, Francisco Jodar, has called an urgent meeting of the Standing Committee of the Board of the City to work in the realization of the municipal strategy to host Syrian refugees.
Mínguez Silvente anticipated that this meeting will take place on Tuesday afternoon at the Palace of Guevara.
The mayor of Social Services said that the municipality is going to dump to help these people, who come under Europe fleeing the horrors of war suffered by his country.
Lorca solidarity have undergone in recent years and now is the time to prove that we are too.
The meeting of the Standing Committee of the Board of the City will take effect for planning the measures, resources and mechanisms could articulate to support reception of these refugees.
Within our means we will do everything in our power to help this group.
Fátima Mínguez has indicated that we are now very aware of the steps that are being taken within the European Union on this issue.
We are aware that the host program is to be framed within a serious and well-planned strategy, which will involve the member countries of the Union and to bring together various public administrations.
Thus we have the opportunity to do a good job for the host of this group has all the guarantees that these people deserve.
We are also alert to meet as soon as possible the material backing from the European Union to be sent to member countries to achieve full integration of Syrian refugees and to ensure that this joint action by the EU to become an example to be followed by other nations.
