80 per cent of the cultural heritage of Lorca is recovered and the performances of the Master Plan completed by the end of 2016 (22/09/2015)

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Minister of Culture and Spokesman of the CARM, Noelia Arroyo, visited the Archaeological Museum in the city, which is in the final phase of the recovery process and allow reopen in autumn

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Minister of Culture, Noelia Arroyo, this morning visited the last phase of the recovery process of the Archaeological Museum, which is being addressed with funds from the Autonomous Community through the EIB loan, and which is just weeks from completion, allowing the Museum to reopen this fall.

Among the completed works include the recovery of the Church of Santiago, Palace Garden Ruano, the Convent of San Francisco Azul- Paso Museum and Santo Domingo Church and the Chapel of the Rosary Paso Blanco.

The Minister of Culture, meanwhile, explained that within the Master Plan for the Recovery of Cultural Heritage of Lorca, the Governing Council of the Autonomous Region Wednesday approved a new grant of more than 165,239 euros for the upcoming recovery of the building Old Municipal Archives of Lorca.
