The Councillor of Tourism has encouraged Lorca and visitors to conduct these activities to enjoy the Sun City in a different way during the last weekend of the fair

The Councillor of Tourism of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has reported that on the occasion of World Tourism Day, which is celebrated on September 27, the city will hold a series of activities to Lorca and visitors can enjoy the splendor of Sun City.

Francisco Montiel explained that tourism is a sector on the rise in Spain that throws monthly figures that place it as the engine of our country, the proof is 40,000,000 tourists that our country annually.

During this 2015, moreover, the number of foreign tourists visiting our country, our region and our city has increased.

The mayor of Tourism stressed that given the tourist potential of the municipality Lorca, we also join in the celebration of this day declaring Open Day at the Castle of Lorca throughout the day on Sunday, which coincides with the last day of the fair , another incentive for both Lorca and visitors go up to the castle to enjoy the views.

Also it is going to do on Saturday a free guided tour around the city, where the guides will show you the best kept secrets of Lorca, a unique opportunity to enjoy the City of the Sun during his holidays.

Montiel has indicated that both participants in guided tour of the city and all the people who come to the Tourist Office of Lorca, which extends its hours this day without interruption from 10.00 to 18.00, receive a ticket that will allow them free access to the Fortress of the Sun on Sunday.

It is recalled that the Tourist Office is located in the Convent of Mercy, in the same space occupied by the Visitor Center of the city and has a wide opening hours to the public Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 14.00 and 17.30 to 20.00, Saturday from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 16.30 to 18.30 and Sundays from 10.00 to 14.00.
