The pool of San Antonio hosted Saturday afternoon during a new edition of Swimming Trophy "Ciudad de Lorca".
The competition, organized by the Department of Sports and Swim Club Lorca, is one of the most important tests in all aspects of the Sports Games Guadalentín.
Proof of this is the great success of participation and also animation, as in the stands were more than 1,000 spectators enjoying the competition.
This time 356 swimmers from 14 swim clubs such as Cartagonova Cartagena, UCAM Fuensanta, Murcia San Jose, San Javier Mar Menor, Villa Torrepacheco, Ancora, Eagles, Yecla, Sewer, Alkazar, Puerto Lumbreras and, of course, Swimming Club Lorca, all of the region and CMD Horadada Elche and neighboring provinces.
On the other hand, the categories were competed and youngest children, juvenile, infant, junior and absolute both male and female.
In total 40 swimming events as free 8x50, 50 m butterfly, 50 m backstroke, 50 m breaststroke, 50 m freestyle and 4x50 in styles were performed, with the mixed relay, involved two men and two women.
Swimming trophy "City of Lorca" began at 16:30 and ended at 20:30, when it came to the awards ceremony by the Councillor for Sports City of Lorca, Francisco Martinez Juan Carrasco, President Swimming Federation of Murcia, Francisco Dominguez, and the President of the Swimming Club Lorca, Juan Lopez, the members of the winning clubs.
