The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has received a grant of patronage of the President and Founder of Grupo Pikolinos, Lorca Juan Perán, that will make a donation of 91,700 euros which will go to the Master Plan for the Recovery of Cultural Heritage Lorca.
Specifically this amount will be divided into two annuities: 58,300 euros to the signing of this contract and 33,400 in May 2016. This contribution is a principal tool to continue recovering the historical and cultural heritage of the municipality.
The mayor explained that within the undertaken by the City Council to find patrons who want to collaborate with us to restore the cultural heritage damaged as a result of major earthquakes 2011 campaign, today signed a major grant agreement with Grupo Pikolinos through which the firm holds a more than generous collaboration with our city.
We must remember that a few months ago we are working with companies and organizations that want to collaborate altruistically with the financial recovery through patronage.
Pikolinos Group is a major international benchmarks in terms of quality shoemaking.
It has stores in Spain and in international capital and is a firm recognized for its prestige.
This business giant has always shown his affection towards Lorca.
In fact, after the earthquake, and through the Juan Peran Foundation, it was among the first organizations to build support and economic assistance to recover this city.
And the group's founder, John Perán is lorquino of birth, specifically the hamlet of Torrealvilla.
But he not only born here, but has consistently demonstrated his immense appreciation for this town.
Now back to prove it again and do it through this important donation that will be key in the recovery of our cultural heritage.
The recovery of cultural heritage was a matter that could not expand over time.
Therefore it is running an exemplary process that is allowing to value the damaged monuments and marking a new era for our great cultural heritage.
In fact we have already signed contracts with Elpozo donation, the Sabadell Foundation and the English Court, which now joins the Pikolinos Group.
Thanks to these partnerships we have added new funds to the Cultural Master Plan for Recovery of Lorca, which is the map by which we are guided by the recovery of our great cultural legacy that was shaken by earthquakes of 2011. These companies have wanted offer altruistic help Lorca, participating as a sponsor and benefit from the tax relief provided by law and which, remember, Lorca donations reach the legal maximum.
