Councillors of Sports and Policy Staff of the City of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martínez and Fatima Minguez, respectively, have delivered this morning in the House of Sport Competition corresponding to Sports and Games of the 3rd Age Awards, organized for Sports Games Guadalentín.
Juan Francisco Martinez explained that the Games and Sports of the 3rd Age began last September 14th have come to an end after three weeks celebration.
The largest of several Centres for the Elderly of the municipality as the IMAS, Alfonso X Senior Center, Senior Center Torrecilla, Tiata Senior Center, Virgen de las Huertas, San Cristobal, La Vina or residence Sunday Sastre played during these weeks to be crowned winners of each of the tests.
After the various competitions held in each of the Centres for the Elderly, the final between the various winners of each of the centers were held to decide the overall champions.
Fátima Mínguez has indicated that through this competition that has been achieved over Lorca also enjoy the Games as they have participated over 320 centers in the municipality, stressing the participation of 69 of Alfonso X, 55 IMAS, 41 San Cristobal, 32 and 22 participants Tiata Torrecilla and Virgen de las Huertas, among others.
Specifically modalities have played 13 games and sports life as billiards, tute 'arrastrao' caliche, checkers, dominoes, Parcheesi, brisca, chess or petanque among others.
Sports Councilman emphasized that from the Sports Games Guadalentín committed to our elders, we want them, which form such an important part in our society, also have their place in the Olympics Lorca and enjoy playing with their peers in activities lifetime.
