The Councillor for Environment of the City of Lorca, Saturnino Martinez, and the president of Walker Club 'La Carrasca' Tomas Lopez, reported this Sunday October 25 this group will make a new edition of the activity 'Plant a Tree for Lorca ', which she performs with the support of the Consistory Lorca, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water of the Autonomous Community and the Mountaineering Federation of Murcia.
Martinez stressed that "the result of this collaboration from 10:00 to 12:00 will be planted in the Sierra del Caño, located in the vicinity of the castle of Sun City, 300 trees and shrubs in the vicinity of the castle" .
In this sense, the mayor has encouraged all stakeholders to collaborate in this action to come to the start time to the Place Pylons, where they were given copies of Aleppo pine, carob, wild olive, balandre, rockrose, mastic and palmetto which is the plant that will be the area.

Finally, Environment Councillor recalled that in the last term have been planted in the township about 8,000 trees in the hills of the town thanks to the involvement of various groups and the Directorate General of Environment of the Regional Government.
