The Town Planning in the City of Lorca, Satur Martinez, this morning attended the ceremony to inaugurate the works for the reconstruction of a new building had to be demolished as a result of the serious damage caused by the earthquakes of 2011 in its structure internal.

The new building starting to build now have a greater capacity, since it will have 8 floors above ground, plus attic and basement that will house a warehouse and storage.
It will retain the same two premises on the ground floor, but also include 2 offices on the first floor.

According to the presented project, the total floor area will be nearly 2,600 square meters, with a budget of material execution of almost one million euros.
As in all rebuilds, the new building that will emerge will be much better than it was demolished, since it will be more accessible, more efficient and safer.
Satur Martinez stressed that "the City Council have supported the reconstruction of the building at all times, working with neighbors to solve as many problems have arisen during the process. But now begin the works and that's the best news for residents and friends. And the beginning of the works in this building is a moment so often coveted by neighbors. The joint effort has paid off and today the so needy households begin to build. But are not the same houses damaged by earthquakes, but are new apartments in a new building with more resources and benefits and much safer.
