The Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure has released today the joint bid contract to prepare the project and execution of works of urban renewal district of Los Angeles-Apollonia, in the town of Lorca, with a budget of 5,982,716 euros.
The Minister Francisco Bernabe said the action is included in the planning of investments, under the acquired with the European Investment Bank (EIB) loan, is undertaking the regional government in Lorca, where "very soon we will see completely finalized the work of rebuilding the city. "
"The new Lorca continues to rise and in this case it is the turn to the neighborhood of Los Angeles-Apollonia, 6 million that the Government of the Region of Murcia will invest in the complete renewal of this neighborhood," said Barnabas.
This project, published today in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM), aims at the comprehensive regeneration of public spaces, with the replacement of all infrastructure and services with innovative approaches to energy efficiency and low maintenance cost line 'Smart Cities' (Smart Cities).
These works, which have a deadline of 12 months, give special treatment to the road axis articulating the neighborhood, which is the avenue of the armed forces, traditional entrance to the town of Lorca.
Invigorate measures of social activity in neighborhoods, with renewal of equipment and improving connections with the surrounding neighborhoods are also included.
The urban regeneration of the district of Los Angeles-Apolonia will create about 100 direct and indirect jobs, which "undoubtedly represents a further boost to the professional sector of Lorca," said Minister of Development.
