The Ministry of Education and Universities has started construction of the new sports hall for institutes Ibanez Martin and Francisco Ros Giner de Lorca, a project budgeted at more than 900,000 euros.
The general director of Educational Centers, Maria Dolores Valcárcel, accompanied by the Councillor for Education of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, today visited the works include the construction of a new sports hall to share the two centers.
During the visit, Maria Dolores Valcárcel pointed out that "this is a new action rather than the Ministry of Education held in Lorca and the more than 2,200 students studying at both institutions will benefit."
The sports center, which will also host school activities, have two separate entrances, one from the playground and other facilities from the street María Agustina.
The architecture distinguishes between two zones: a lower altitude, where clothes, sporting goods stores, user access lobby and boiler room and another space of a height of nine meters, which houses only the room included sports.
The sports will have minimum internal dimensions of 50x25 meters and seven meters in height, with overhead lighting and ventilation.
For its part, the sports area will include tracing regulatory handball courts, indoor soccer, basketball, volleyball and three basketball, located transversely to earlier for training.

This new sports hall is framed within the '+ Educational Quality + School Success "strategy, in which one of its main objectives is to improve the educational infrastructure in the region of Murcia.
