The Governing Council authorized the signing of an agreement between the Presidential and the city of Lorca for the implementation of the 'Survey of Local Infrastructure and Equipment' by Geographic Information System (EIELMAP), used to plan and manage providing local and regional public services in the municipality.
In this survey one geodiferenciado inventory with accurate and systematized, which allows to know the current state of road infrastructure, water supply, sanitation and water treatment, public lighting and equipment, among other is obtained.
Under this agreement, the Community offers EIELMAP Hall this application, a geographic information system (GIS), and provides the necessary training for the municipal officers to acquire the knowledge to incorporate survey data in this software tool.
The survey enables collaborative work between public administrations enabling significant cost reduction by leveraging available resources in order to avoid duplication of information and improve the efficiency of public services.
This survey is an inventory of national, census-type, which is made with a common methodology for county councils and collaboration with the Ministry of Public Administration.
