Equal Councilwoman City of Lorca, Eulalia Ibarra, this morning the two literary contests that both entities convened on the occasion of the March 8 celebration of International Women's Day.
In this sense, Ibarra explained that for the fifth consecutive the Department of Equality Consistory Lorca, organized by the Literary Contest of Short Stories "Women", with the aim of promoting the principle of equality, to sensitize the general population, year highlight the values ​​of a society committed to equality, to combat discrimination against women in different ways, and one of them through literary expression.
To do this, those wishing to participate in the competition must submit their work before 13:00 pm on Friday 26 February, accepting, in the case of postal items, those envelopes postmarked February 26.
The works must be provided regarding the role and status of women in any sphere (family, work, domestic violence, education, etc.).
It will be a short story, whose length is a minimum and maximum two pages folio, and presented unsigned, under the escrow system.
The works must be strictly unpublished original and not previously awarded in any other contest, nor any obligation subject to editing.

The valuation of accounts, will be made by the jury responsible for selecting three winners, who will be awarded with: a computer for the first prize, a tablet for the second prize, and a mobile phone for the third prize.
For the selection of the best works will be assessed both treatment equality between men and women, such as the use of non-sexist language, and the literary quality and entertainment
