On Saturday May 24th was held at the IES Ramón Arcas Lorca, Final Phase XIX Regional Mathematical Olympiad, which was attended by the mayor of Education of the City of the Sun, Jose Joaquin Peñarrubia.
The meeting was attended three students of the municipal Lorca, specifically Bayonas Adrian Ruiz (CEIP San Fernando), Miriam Barnes Guevara (Colegio Madre de Dios) and Esther Serrano Paredes (IES Francisco Giner Ros) taking such a strong presence, but ultimately not could go to the national finals narrowly.
The Regional Final was divided into two groups formed one 6 pupils in primary (10 finalists), and another by students of 2 º ESO (24 finalists), passing of the last six finishers at the National Olympiad, to hold from 24 to 28 June in Murcia.
The presentation of diplomas was made later in the Cultural Center.
