Over the next few Saturdays in April, and building on the flower and the welfare of the spring, Lorca Time workshop offered to all visitors to the Fortress of the Sun about special tours, guided by "the medieval healer" of the Castle, to know legends and natural remedies related to plants growing within the precincts of the fortress.
Visitors will learn, among other things, that thyme stimulates intellectual faculties and mental agility, and Cypress that pineapples are traditionally used to preserve the original color of graying hair and treat, or that the Greeks regarded the pomegranate as the symbol of love and fertility and aphrodisiac virtues enshrined off this tree to the goddess Aphrodite.
The healer del Castillo also knows all about the rosemary, which is not coincidence that the popular proverb says that "Poor is the wound that rosemary does not heal," and that "Of the virtues of rosemary can write an entire book"
During this special month of April, visitors will learn all this and more from the hand of a pleasant walk to the medieval healer experienced, touring the castle and knowing the secrets, ointments and medicinal remedies, since antiquity, is associated with plants.
The activity of one hour, is held in the Fortress of the Sun on Saturday of the month of April in the morning and afternoon and is included in normal admission price of the castle.
