39 sec was the time spent by our local athlete Francisco Javier González Martínez "Bullet" to cover the 40.5 miles for the third stage between Oued El Hallou Jdaid and Ba.
In the 23 th edition of the Marathon Des Sables, which was won by Jordan Salameh Al Aqra, while Spanish was relegated Jorge Ubesa to fifth after missing out on a dune, accumulating a few minutes late with respect to their immediate pursuers.
The temperature at 12:30 h, was 48 degrees, reflecting the extreme conditions of this ordeal.
Fran González currently ranked 245 in the overall standings with a cumulative time of 17 h.
17 min and 41 sec and continues up posts, but more importantly, keep on racing without forgetting that its main goal is to finish this marathon in Las Arenas.
The 4 th stage between Ba and Oled Hallou Ahssia is the largest with a total of 75.5 km and to do it there is a limit of up to two days, so depending on fitness, each rider must decide whether to complete a one day or spend the night in the desert and dosing the effort over the two days.
This stage is key to the aspirations of Lorca, which will have to remove the caste and her characteristic tenacity to face the challenges of this vast and epic stage.
