The town of Lorca celebrates Fortaleza del Sol in the first Forum of Cultural Tourism in the town, which for two days analyzing the industry's most innovative perspectives, cultural tourism trends in the international arena and its direct relationship with factors as sustainability, heritage and traditions of the region.
The opening day began with an opening ceremony which was chaired by the Director General of Tourism, Angel Campos, and the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and was played the new space renovated Castle: the cistern room tenon.
During his speech, praised the effort Campos City Council to empower the local cultural offerings and make Lorca, through the preservation and enhancement in one of the most important historical cities in the region.

In turn, the mayor of Lorca announced the future launch of a medieval research center will work with the municipality and to bring scientific rigor and historical tourist attractions in the area.
He also assured that "the smooth running of tourism in the locality must inevitably go through the exploitation of the potential costs of rural product and cultural heritage.
Among those attending the opening ceremony included the presence of the Councillor of Tourism of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, president of CECLOR, Pedro Cazorla, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Eusebio Abellán, Hostelor president, Antonio Miñarro, and President of the Union of Traders, Diego Noguera.
