Also stresses that young people in this center will have a free legal advice (immigration, criminal, civil, labor), by appointment, a library specializing in fair trade issues, human rights, multiculturalism and immigration, and he distributed information and fair trade products.
The public opening hours are Monday to Friday: from 10.00 to 14.00 and Tuesday and Thursday from 19.00 to 20.30.
In addition, the schedule for project development and certain activities out of the office space (field) will be Monday and Wednesday from 17:00 to 20:00.
The Office for Youth and Cultural Diversity is to promote early learning and intercultural dialogue among young Lorca and support the development of initiatives and projects that promote social integration and the breaking of prejudices and stereotypes of cultural or ethnic character.
The objectives of this new service are to promote joint participation of groups of young foreigners and locals in the activities of the Youth Council of the City of Lorca, through the development of social inclusion and activities that foster intercultural respect for difference and diversity of cultures.
In addition, advise and inform foreign youth on issues that are of interest in relation to their rights and obligations, and resources available at local, regional and national, provide meeting space and technical training to young people and Youth on issues related to immigration and multiculturalism and develop national and European research and intervention with young immigrants to encourage their social inclusion.
Finally, develop public awareness campaigns to the diversity of cultures and respect and solidarity among people of other cultures.
