The councilman of Deportes and the deputy mayor of Lorca Francisco Felix Montiel has signed an agreement with the Chess Club Lorca by which this group is subsidized with 30,600 euros for the IX International Chess Tournament Memorial Narciso Yepes, being held from 23 to 28 June in the city.
The president of the Club, Benigno Merlos, has highlighted the importance of this tournament to promote the region and especially in Lorca chess, and bring great masters of the sport to the municipality.
On the other hand, Montiel has also signed an agreement with the Club Orienteering Lorca in nature by which they were subsidized by $ 10,000.
Club president, Rafael Martinez, explained that the Club Orienteering Lorca in Nature has provided mapping guidance in areas of the county, with a budget of 10,000 euros, inserting said activity within the program of performance and upgrading of sports facilities that the Club has been conducting itself in the municipality, and are essential to the practice of sport oriented in nature.
The geographical areas of the municipality of Lorca subject of the development of such maps guidance includes the extension of the west side of Bridge Swamp map for the achievement of Regional and Local-tests for Popular Sports Games of the XXX Guadalentín.
Shall also update the map Valdeinfiernos (Shelter House Churches), due to vegetation change experienced in the area and updating the site map IES Martin and Ros J. Ibáñez Giner, Lorca.
